Opportunity Detroit highlights the many assets that make Detroit the exceptional city that it is. An international riverfront, a vibrant downtown, a talented and resilient population, countless entertainment options and an unwavering entrepreneurial spirit drive economic growth in the city.

In order to achieve our mission, we strive to dramatically change the national perception of the city of Detroit. Opportunity Detroit is not only exclusive to Rock Ventures and the Family of Companies. It’s an all-inclusive campaign that includes other businesses, the citizens of the city of Detroit and newcomers.

Business Attraction and Job Creation

o We want to make Detroit a desirable destination for prospective businesses. This includes recruiting talent nationwide and halting the exodus of talented professionals from Michigan. Creating an environment where entrepreneurs can thrive will produce jobs that attract talent and equip Detroit with a diverse economy that will help the city thrive in the 21st century.
Renovations Galore
o The influx of jobs will require state-of-the-art commercial space, and we intend to have space readily available. Renovations to parks, neighborhoods, and the riverfront will help attract new residents and visitors alike.
Residential Expansion

o Simply put, the demand outweighs the supply for housing in the city’s 7.2 square miles of the downtown area. The momentum is not slowing and this collaborative effort will ensure that attractive, cutting-edge living options are available for newcomers.
